About Us

How does the Forum Work?

BCAF holds a full Forum Meeting every 3 months. Every resident in Burngreave is invited, along with representatives from the many community, statutory and faith organisations in the area. These meetings provide an opportunity for discussion between members of the Community and service providers, while informing BCAF’s future direction.

BCAF has an elected Committee which meets monthly and coordinates the work of the Forum, making sure we focus on issues that are important to people in Burngreave. This Coordinating Committee is made up of individuals living or working in Burngreave that have a real commitment to the area. We welcome interest from anyone who may want to get involved in BCAF as a member of the Coordinating Committee.

BCAF also supports a number of Working Groups that meet regularly to discuss key topics, such as Refugee, Asylum Seeker and Migrant Issues, and Adult Learning. As different issues come to the fore and priorities change, new Working Groups can easily be convened to deal with them. If you are interested in joining an existing Working Group or convening a new one, BCAF wants to hear from you.
